NABET 700-M Unifor

Representing Ontario’s Film & Television Technicians Since 1970

Founded in 1970 to supply skilled videotape technicians, NABET 700-M grew alongside Toronto’s booming production industry, expanding to represent film and television technicians across a wide range of crafts.

In 1994, we strengthened our voice by merging with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP), one of North America’s largest unions at the time.

In 2013, CEP joined with the CAW to form Unifor, now Canada’s largest private-sector union.

Our Mission

We protect and advocate for Ontario’s film and television technicians. Through collective representation, fair compensation, and safe working conditions, we strengthen both our members and the industry.
