JUNE 2024: Pride month

JUNE 21, 2024

June marks LGBTQ Pride Month worldwide. The inaugural Pride parade occurred in New York City, where gay activists honoured the Stonewall Riots' anniversary. Since that historic moment over fifty years ago, the queer and trans rights movement has transformed into a potent political and cultural entity advocating for universal equality. Presently, the LGBTQ community and its allies commemorate queer and trans-Pride through diverse celebrations, ranging from family-oriented picnics to city center marches and lively nightclub parties lasting until dawn.

NABET 700-M UNIFOR proudly supports and stands in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

Please refer to Toronto's Pride Parade website for a full schedule of events.
